Only the list of architects’ names whose buildings were included in the selected “collection” impresses by its dignity and absolute authority in the architectural groups of Russia and the worlds: Richard Meier, Andrey Chernikhov, David Adjaye, Anton Nadtochiy and Vera Butko, Davia Chipperfield, Mekanoo, BuroMoscow, Jean Nouvel, Mattias Sauerbruch, Will Alsop. The last became the hero of the issue being represented personally in the heading “Portrait” and by his works in the heading “Gallery”. The natural continuation of these publications became invitation of Will Alsop to read a small lecture of his color perception and its importance in the work on pictorial canvases and architectural projects during the presentation of the sixth issue of speech magazine. Such combination: topic of color in architecture and lecture of Will Alsop made this presentation one of the most noticeable events of winter social season of architectural Moscow coming to an end. Upon an initiative of Sergey Kuznetsov and Eelena Bazhenova the head of the department of “Architectural practice” of Moscow Architectural Institute, Vice-president of the Union of Moscow architects, member of the board of the Union of architects of Russia the bureau SPEECH initiates the program that intends active participation of the architects-practicians. The heads of the leading architectural workshops in the educational process of the students. The cause for it became permanent problem with the level of practical training of the alumni of the specialized university and their not sufficient knowledge of the real situation as well as of those functions and tasks they will have to solve in fact. Illusion that alumnus is able to make architecture and its ensuing consequences turn into the long adaptation period and kind of reeducation of former students in the structure of the company. This period of “coaching” of the novices burdensome for any office working under constant time pressure and high requirements to the quality of the work of every employee may be minimized by means more productive education process in the university. In the opinion of Sergey Kuznetsov and Eelena Bazhenova to change the situation it is necessary to set the partnership relations between the university and companies interested in the recruitment of well prepared young specialists. The forms of partnership may be various: lectures, excursions in the bureaus and to construction plans, regular traineeships and “workshops” under the guidance of the architects-practicians. On the 8th of December Sergey Kuznetsov read a first lecture in the amphitheater of Moscow Architectural Institute. More than two hours Sergey communicated with the students telling them in details about the private experience of entering in the profession; about the toughest moments on the way of creating of his own bureau; about the present realities of the project business and the difficulties the present student who decided sooner or later achieve the success in the chosen profession should be ready for.
